Pineapple is rightfully considered an exotic fruit. Therefore, you can create conditions for growing pineapple in a greenhouse only. It is not very difficult if you follow the following tips.

Creating favorable conditions for the growth of pineapples in the greenhouse

A rich harvest of pineapples will not keep you waiting if a planned greenhouse in full growth of a person:

  • provide acidic soil (pH from 4 to 5 units);
  • guarantee greenhouse lighting for 8 hours;
  • control watering with regular spraying;
  • maintain a stable temperature within 25 °C.

Pineapples need to be fed according to a clear pattern. April-September requires feeding weekly. With a further schedule, it is enough to add useful substances to the soil once every 14 days.

Soil preparation and planting pineapple in a greenhouse

You should mix one part of humus with the same proportions of garden, soddy soil, peat, river sand. The complexity of the procedure is simplified by the purchase of ready-made formulations. Charcoal is traced in their components.

Cuttings and seeds are the main planting material. Cut the comb off a ripe pineapple in a circle to get a pulp-free stump. You should decontaminate the cut, for example, rinse with hydrogen peroxide, and sprinkle with ash. It is possible to replace it with crushed tablets of activated carbon.

Depth up to 6 cm is the best marking for placing stumps. Sticks are placed to fasten future fruits. The stump will take root in 1-2 months with regular spraying of moisture around the greenhouse. Mineral fertilizers are a guarantee of a fruitful pineapple.

When choosing seeds, pay attention to planting material of medium size. After washing them in a solution of potassium permanganate and drying, the seeds are buried 2 cm into the soil. Regular (not excessive!) Watering with warm water will allow you to place planting material up to 7 cm in the greenhouse. Experts recommend stopping at pineapple seedlings with cuttings (tufts).
